So, yes, The Great Gatsby is a great book that should be read, but:

It’s okay to see the movie before reading it (same goes for any other book-turned-movie)

It’s okay to never read the book

It’s okay to like the movie better

Nick might be the narrator, but that doesn’t mean you’re supposed to like him

You’re not supposed to like anyone in this book

Making Daisy and Tom out to be the “worst” characters misses the point of the novel

It’s okay to hate the book forever
